How many people are on your team?
Eye of the Bird Films is primarily a one-man team - me, John Sekhar. I handle all aspects of video production, from pre-production to post-production. However, the beauty of being a small, flexible company is that I can scale up as needed. For larger projects, I have a network of talented professionals who I can bring on board to ensure we have all the skills necessary to deliver a top-quality product. So, while I might be the only constant, the team size can expand based on the requirements of the project.
What is the process for creating a video with Eye of the Bird Films?
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how we work:
Briefing: Following our initial conversation, the process begins when we receive your brief. We take the time to understand your vision, objectives, and any specific requirements you might have.
Consultation: Based on the brief, we provide advice on what we think might work best for your video. This could include suggestions on the style, tone, and content of the video.
Storyboarding: We will create a storyboard based on your requirements. This is a visual representation of what the final video will look like. It helps us align our ideas and sets clear expectations for the project.
Scheduling: Once the storyboard is agreed upon, we set timeframes for the filming or animation. This includes dates and location for the shoot, editing, and when the first edit will be ready for review.
Asset Collection: We work closely with you to gather any assets that can be included in the video. This could be logos, iconography, or any other materials that represent your brand.
Production: This is where we bring the storyboard to life through filming or animation.
Post-Production: After filming, we move on to editing and post-production. This is where we add the finishing touches to your video to ensure it looks polished and professional.
Review and Delivery: The first edit is then sent to you for review. We value your feedback and will make any necessary revisions. Once you’re happy with the final product, we deliver the video in your preferred format.
At Eye of the Bird Films, we believe in transparency and collaboration at every step of the process. We’re excited to help bring your vision to life!

Please note that this is a general estimate and the actual timeline may vary. We always strive to work within our client’s schedules and provide timely updates throughout the process.

Do you have experience in our industry?
Absolutely! We pride ourselves on our versatility and adaptability. Over the past nine years, we’ve worked with clients across a variety of sectors. This includes creating marketing and product-related content for industries such as financial services, tourism and leisure, as well as for social media and YouTube outreach.
Our broad experience means we’re quick to understand the unique needs and nuances of different industries. Regardless of your sector, you can be confident that we’ll deliver a video that resonates with your audience and meets your objectives. We’re all about bringing your vision to life, for telling your story, no matter what industry you’re in.
Can we be involved in the editing process?
Definitely! We believe in collaboration and value your input at every stage of the process. Here’s how it works:
Storyboard Sign-off: Before we begin filming or animation, we’ll agree on a storyboard. This will give you a clear idea of what the final product will look like. It’s normal to have you on-site for the shoot so you’ll see firsthand, how it’s going. We’re able to make minor changes, for example, scripting, on the fly if needed.
First Draft Review: After the first draft is ready, we’ll share it with you for feedback. This is your opportunity to suggest minor amendments to ensure the video aligns with your vision.
Amendments: We understand that tweaks may be needed, so we include one round of amendments for free. Any further changes after this will be subject to additional charges.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. The first round of revisions is included in the quote following a review of the first draft based on your feedback. Any further changes after this will be subject to additional charges.
For formats will the final video be in?
We’ll provide the video in the digital format that works for you and is specific to where you’ll be hosting the video, (e.g. YouTube). Usually, an mp4 file is the best option and we’ll transfer this to you securely via WeTransfer.
Who owns the rights to the footage?
When we create a fantastic video for you, you get the full rights to use the final, polished version however you like! But just to let you know, the unedited, behind-the-scenes footage usually stays with us, unless we’ve agreed something different when we first chat about your project. Every project is unique, so it’s always best to check the specifics in our agreement. And remember, it’s always a good idea to chat with a legal expert to make sure everything’s above board. This is just a general guide and might not cover all situations or areas. Hope this helps!
How can we use the videos you produce?
Once we’ve put the finishing touches on your video, it’s all yours to use as you please! You can share it on your website, post it on social media, use it in presentations, or even play it at events. If we’ve used a member of staff to appear in the video or a paid actor, they will need to sign a release form to give permission for you to use them in the videos. We can provide a template form for you to amend.
Can you help with editing our in-house produced content?
Absolutely. All we’ll need are the files and guidance on what message you want to deliver, as well as brand colours and any relevant iconography.
